The two types

There are two approaches to teeth whitening: In-house and home whitening. Broadly speaking, where you have it done is all that is consistent about these two categories. For instance some in-house procedures use lasers, some use bright lamps. Broadly speaking, most at home whitening kits revolve around wearing special dental trays (filled with cleaning solution) for a few days or weeks. Which is more convenient is a matter of preference, though even with the home procedure it is recommended to have the dental trays fitted at a dentists. Sometimes, for optimum effect, a combination of both procedures will be used.

This is the whitening system we, at Harley Street Dental Studio in London, most heartily recommend. It is also one of the most popular whitening procedures available. It can have your teeth looking up to 10 shades brighter and the results can literally last years!

Ramp

This a treatment designed for those with sensitive teeth. The procedure starts with a much lower concentration of whitening gel which is gradually increased over the course of 15 days, thus allowing the mouth to grow accustomed to the presence of the gel.

Zoom

Zoom is aptly named as it is quick. Most treatments can be completed in 45 to 60 minutes. The treatment utilises special Zoom gel which is exposed to a special lamp. The light exposure activates a whitening agent which thoroughly bleaches the teeth.
