I was given an appointment straight away and once at the Dental Studio I was dealt with in a caring and professional manner with options and explanations given at every stage of the treatment. Nervous patient FAQs
How does treatment for nervous patients differ from ordinary treatment?
We let you set the pace of treatment and we’ll talk with you at length about how to make your visit more pleasant. We may opt to use strategies like hand signals when you want to take a break and we can also offer no-drill dentistry and gentle sedation.
Is it OK to bring a friend with me?
Yes – if it makes you feel more comfortable. Lots of our nervous patients bring their friends along.
Is there anything else I can do to make treatment more bearable?
Whatever helps you to feel relaxed is OK by us. Some patients like to listen to music while others perform breathing exercises. It’s up to you!
Will I have treatment at my first appointment?
Not if you don’t want to. Sometimes it’s better to take a look around the facility and get used to the sights and sounds of the clinic before jumping into the chair.
