British Society of Restorative Dentistry & Elective Project 1997 - Andrew Bain
Andrew trained at Bristol University and graduated in 1997, winning the prizes for the British Society of Restorative Dentistry and Elective Project. He was also President of the Student Society. He completed his Vocational Training in Croydon and has been working as a General Dental Practitioner in London ever since. He is interested in all aspects of general dentistry and believes in a preventative, ethical approach to achieving healthy mouths.
He has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and strives to achieve beautiful smiles in a holistic and minimally invasive way. He is also very interested in helping patients overcome their fears of dental treatment through non-sedative approaches.
Andrew has a special interest in Invisalign and have completed well over 500 cases. He also enjoys smile makeovers using aesthetic bonding and minimally prepared veneers.
He maintains a keen interest in the latest developments in dentistry through regular Continued Professional Development above and beyond that required by the General Dental Council.
In 2012 he completed his exams to become a Member of the Joint Dental Faculties (Royal College of Surgeons, England).
Outside of dentistry Andrew has sung in operas and musicals; performing all over the world. He also has a keen interest in artificial intelligence and software development and their impact on health care. He has recently founded Ouch – A digital communication platform for dentists and their patients.
