Joe Joe – Composite bonding and Enlighten whitening
Problem
Joe came to see Dr Peter McQuillan because he was unhappy with a dark front tooth which had been repaired some time ago.
Solution
We began with advanced Enlighten whitening over a two-week period and then gently removed the old yellow front composite. We replaced it with one of a better colour, shape and size to recreate what the tooth would have looked like originally.
Composite resin – or bonding as it’s commonly known – is a great way to repair broken teeth like Joe’s.
It is hard wearing and typically lasts for seven or more years before it needs to be gently polished off and replaced.
