The ins and outs of Invisalign

Invisalign is a clear brace system, which offers a really discreet alternative to fixed braces. With this system, there are no brackets and bands; patients wear a series of custom-made, clear plastic appliances, which align the teeth for a perfect looking smile.

Treatment is planned in advance and each aligner is created individually; the aligners work as a series and they must be worn in order. The duration of treatment varies according to the patient’s needs; the number of aligners differs but each aligner is worn for 2 weeks. The aligners should be worn for at least 21 hours per day to ensure the best results; they should be taken out when you eat and clean your teeth.
