Invisalign Teen: what is it?

Invisalign Teen is an invisible brace treatment, which is based on the original Invisalign system. Invisalign Teen is very similar to the traditional Invisalign treatment, but there are additional features to benefit younger patients.

Invisalign is an invisible aligner system, which uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to straighten the teeth. Each aligner is designed and manufactured based on the individual treatment plan, which is drawn up using sophisticated computer software. The aligners are worn for 2 weeks and then replaced with the next aligner in the series until the teeth are straight and treatment is complete. The aligners are removable and they should be taken out to eat, drink and clean the teeth.

Invisalign Teen is the same as Invisalign, but there are a couple of extra features to make treatment more convenient for teenage patients. The aligners are fitted with a colour indicator, which reminds patients when to change their aligner and there are also spare aligners to save fuss and time if you lose an aligner.
