Invisalign Teen is an Invisalign system, which has been adapted for teenagers. Essentially, the treatment is the same, but there are additional features, which make treatment easier for young people. With Invisalign Teen, the treatment process is the same, but there are extra aligners and each aligner has a colour indicator, which reminds you when you need to swap your aligners over. Treatment works in the same way, with a series of different aligners working together to straighten the teeth; each aligner is worn for 2 weeks and the aligners are taken out to eat and clean the teeth. What do Invisalign Teen aligners look like?

Invisalign Teen aligners look the same as traditional Invisalign aligners, aside from the fact they have a colour marker to show patients when to change the aligner over. Invisalign aligners are made from clear plastic and they are placed over the teeth in a similar way to a gum shield, which is worn for sport; the aligners are removable and they simply lift off when you want to take them out to enjoy a meal or clean your teeth. As they are made from transparent components, they are virtually invisible, so you can smile without anyone even noticing that you’re wearing a brace.
