There are several different specialities underneath the umbrella of dentistry, including:

Periodontics: this is the area of dentistry that deals with the gums and gum disease. Dr Federico Tinti is highly experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of gum disease and provides complex courses of treatment for those affected by advanced periodontal disease. The aim of treatment is to prevent symptoms from getting worse, ease discomfort and enable you to preserve your natural teeth.

Orthodontics: this is the area of dentistry concerned with the bite and alignment of your teeth. The term ‘bite’ refers to the relationship between the top and bottom arches of teeth and examples of orthodontic problems include overbite, underbite, crowding, crooked teeth and spaces between the teeth. We are lucky to have three expert orthodontists at our clinic: Dr Darsh Patel, Dr Ilias Marinopoulos and Dr Sarah Sadek. Prosthodontics: prosthodontics is a speciality that concentrates on restoring and replacing missing or damaged teeth. Dr Nick Fahey, one of the UK’s leading specialists, uses the latest diagnostic tools and the best treatments to restore smiles to their former glory and promote confidence and wellbeing.

Endodontics: this field of dentistry focuses on the tooth pulp, the living tissue of the tooth. The most commonly performed endodontic procedure is root canal treatment, which is used to remove decayed pulp tissue from the root canals to prevent a dental infection from spreading through the tooth. It is often the only alternative to extraction. Dr Adi Moran has an excellent national and international reputation in this field.
