Teeth cleaning is the best way to get shiny, glossy and healthy looking teeth, as well as strong, healthy teeth and gums. Brushing your teeth is really important because it removes bacteria, food debris and plaque from your mouth; if you were to avoid cleaning your teeth, plaque would collect on the protective enamel surfaces of your teeth and along your gum line, increasing the risk of decay and gum disease. Bacteria and food particles also contribute to bad breath.
Just spending a couple of minutes in the morning and evening brushing your teeth will do your oral health the world of good. We recommend rushing twice a day for at least two minutes each time using fluoride toothpaste. Electric toothbrushes are proven to remove more plaque than manual toothbrushes and there are some very affordable products around; if you are no sure which brush to buy, we will happily recommend products.
When you brush, be sure to cover all areas of the mouth and push the brush back to the corners of your mouth. Hold the brush at an angle and brush all surfaces of the tooth.
Flossing is really important because it covers the areas that are difficult to reach with a toothbrush, such as the gum line and the small cracks between the teeth. Thread the floss through the cracks between your teeth; if you are flossing for the first time, you may find that your gums bleed. If your gums bleed persistently, you should see your dentist.
Rinsing with mouthwash can be beneficial for your oral health and it was also keep your breath smelling fresh and clean. Many people like to rinse their mouth with mouthwash after eating and before they go to bed. Try to choose alcohol-free mouthwash.
