What is the ‘Clearstep’ brace system?

The major stigma attached to the fixed brace seems to be its appearance. The Clearstep brace system manages to overcome this problem by outright removing appearance. Clearstep brace are nigh-on invisible! They are essentially a collection of clear, plastic aligners which are often compared to very thin sports guards.

The advantages of Clearstep

Clearstep braces are much more comfortable than fixed braces and are less likely to produce the sores and inflammation associated with their wire & elastic brethren. The fact that they are removable also means that you will not have any obstructions when cleaning your teeth or eating. If you suffer from teeth grinding problems, Clearstep braces also offer protection from your unintentional dental abrasions. Clearstep is also designed to work in harmony with other treatments, so there should be no compatibility problems!

How Clearstep works

Treatment with Clearstep works like this: The aligners gradually shift your teeth in increments and you swap to a new aligner roughly every two weeks. In total, the treatment should last between 9 and 18 months. This is similar to the standard time frame of a fixed brace. The difference, of course, is that no one will know you are having any treatment done!
