Sadly, the orthodontic journey doesn’t end after brace treatment. Perhaps sadder than this is that some folks have ‘relapses.’ In the first few months following brace treatment, teeth are especially prone to relapse. It is recommended that patients wear retainers for between two and twelve months post-treatment and even wear them occasionally after that. It is no surprise then that sometimes relapses occur. All that hard dental work is not for nothing though, as the Inman Aligner is perfect for swiftly correcting these minor fall backs.

What is an Inman Aligner?

It is a removable device used to align teeth and, in particular, front teeth. Also, it is quick: Results can usually be seen somewhere between six and eighteen weeks. The Inman Aligner can be removed which allows for easy cleaning, eating and helps with general oral health care. The device also causes little discomfort and is rather reasonably priced to boot!

How it works

The Inman Aligner is fitted with two Nickel Titanium coil springs which in turn power two aligner bows. These bows gently oppose each other and will guide your teeth into their desired position. The aligner gets results quickly as the gentle force produced operates over a very large range of movement.

The Inman Aligner is best suited for those who have suffered an orthodontic relapse, particularly relapses of the front teeth.

Stages of treatment

Firstly, you will require a consultation so we can ensure that the Inman Aligner is right for you. This will involve taking a few photos so the options available to you can be assessed. If the Inman Aligner is deemed suitable, then a more detailed assessment of your smile and the outcomes you desire will follow. Impressions of your teeth will be taken to help us establish how your teeth will move during treatment. Once your treatment plan has been decided upon, your aligner will then be produced. Then you simply wear the aligner!
