He was awarded a gold medal, graduated with first-class honours, and was made a scholar of the university. He is one of only a few dentists to qualify with all these accolades.
Brian worked as a general dentist in private practice and across a range of hospital specialties, including children’s dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. During this time he achieved a diploma in primary care dentistry and gained membership in the Faculty of Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Brian is a specialist orthodontist with several postgraduate qualifications. He completed his specialist training at the prestigious Royal London Hospital, gaining membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) from the Royal College of Surgeons in England. He achieved his doctorate in clinical dentistry from Queen Mary University of London and was awarded the David DiBiase prize for clinical excellence in recognition of the high standard of orthodontic treatment his patients received.
Brian uses an evidence-based approach in his clinical practice. His doctorate focused on invisible orthodontics for adults, making him an expert in this field. He presented at numerous conferences and notably, he was an award winner for his presentation at the UK Craniofacial conference in 2018. He also held a position on the editorial board of the Journal of the Irish Dental Association.
Beyond the world of orthodontics, Brian enjoys spending time with friends and family, whether it be out for brunch or hosting dinners. He loves to travel and is a fitness enthusiast and recently he’s rekindled his old love for golf.
