Articles Invisalign Lite Explained For Patients In London

How can we help?

Invisalign has taken the world of Orthodontics by storm and it’s no surprise, with more and more people choosing clear braces to give them a beautiful new smile. Invisalign Lite is part of the Invisalign system; it works in the same way but is deigned to treat less complex orthodontic prescriptions.

How does Invisalign Lite work?

Invisalign Lite works in precisely the same way as Invisalign, but there are fewer aligners. Invisalign uses a series of clear, plastic aligners to move the teeth gradually over the course of time; each aligner is worn for two weeks and then replaced with the next aligner until the series is complete and the teeth are perfectly straight. Invisalign Lite is the same as Invisalign, but as the treatment is designed for less complex cases, fewer aligners are needed.

The aligners are removable but they should be worn for at least 21 hours per day; they should be taken out to eat, drink and clean your teeth.

Am I a suitable candidate?

If you have minor orthodontic issues, such as mild crowding, small gaps between your teeth and slightly crooked teeth and you would prefer a discreet orthodontic solution, Invisalign Lite could be the perfect choice. Invisalign is a very popular treatment because the braces are almost invisible, the aligners are comfortable and you can take them out, which makes eating and cleaning your teeth much easier.

At Harley Street Dental studio in the heart of London we can see if you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign Lite treatment after we have examined your mouth and carried out a few simple tests. If Invisalign Lite is not suitable, we can talk about other treatment options with you.
