What is Enlighten?

Enlighten is a professional tooth whitening treatment, which uses a combination of at-home and in-chair treatment to produce stunning results. Enlighten is widely regarded as the best treatment on the market and at the moment, it’s the only system in the UK that is capable of achieving shade B1, the lightest tooth shade. With Enlighten, you can expect your smile to look dramatically different in just 2 weeks.

How does Enlighten work?

Enlighten is a whitening system with a difference. Usually, treatment involves either wearing trays at home or having an express whitening session in the chair. Enlighten combines both techniques to create the perfect outcome.

Before you start treatment, you’ll have a consultation and your dentist will have a look at your mouth and check that you’re a suitable candidate. They will then talk to you about the treatment process, answer any questions you have and create moulds of your teeth. These will be used to make your bespoke whitening trays. The trays contain Enlighten whitening agent, which lightens the shade of the enamel on contact.

You wear your trays for around 6 hours per day for 14 days. You can wear them at any time of day and fit your treatment in around your schedule.

On the 15^th day, we’ll invite you to come and see us and we’ll carry out the final part of the treatment process, a one-hour power whitening session, which will give your teeth that final radiant glow. You won’t feel any pain, and you can just chill out and relax while the bleaching agent works its magic. Your dentist will ask you to put some goggles on, then they will apply the agent and activate it using a light source.
