Articles Get a Perfect Smile with Porcelain Veneers
If a perfect smile is at the top of your wish list, you’ve come to the right place. Using the latest cosmetic techniques and treatments such as porcelain veneers, we can banish flaws for good and create stunning new smiles.
The ins and outs of porcelain veneer treatments
Porcelain veneer treatment involves using single or sets of porcelain shells to transform the aesthetic of the smile. Veneers are incredibly thin, tooth-shaped ceramic shells placed on top of your natural teeth. They are a very useful solution for people with cosmetic imperfections, e.g. chips and staining, as well as those who dream of a flawless, glamorous smile.
Every veneer is custom-made to ensure the perfect fit and we can use single veneers to treat isolated issues or entire sets of veneers to create a more dramatic transformation.
Treatment usually involves two or three sessions, which are used to plan treatment and then fit the veneers. Before veneers can be placed, it is usually necessary to prepare the teeth to make space for the new veneers and ensure a natural look. To do this, we gently etch the tooth surface to remove a fine layer of enamel. We also create impressions of your teeth, which are sent away to the lab and used as moulds for your bespoke veneers. Once the fabrication process is complete, the veneers can then be fixed onto the teeth using dental adhesive and you can enjoy a beautiful new smile for years to come.
