Traditionally, stem cells were taken from the bone marrow, but this is an invasive procedure and stem cell banking with Precious Cells uses a much simpler process which involves taking stem cells from the tooth pulp (the living tissue of the tooth).

What does stem cell banking involve?

Stem cell banking involves removing stem cells from the dental pulp. In order to do this, the tooth is extracted and placed in a secure vial, which is taken away to the Precious Cells laboratory. The stem cells are cryogenically frozen and stored safely.

If you develop an illness or require treatment in the future, you can request for your stem cells to be sent to the relevant treatment clinic.
