Articles Did you know an extracted tooth could save your life in the future?

How can we help?

You may have noticed that your body is pretty incredible. When you hurt yourself, your body heals and this is all due to one special type of cell, the stem cell. Stem cells used to be harvested only from the bone marrow, but this is an unpleasant, invasive procedure. We offer an alternative, using the teeth to collect precious stem cells.

Precious Cells

At Harley Street Dental Studio, we’re always keen to offer our clients ground-breaking treatments and therapies. Working with Precious Cells, we are able to offer our patients the chance to harvest stem cells using teeth that have been extracted. Once the tooth has been removed, it can be saved and used to potentially save your life at a later date. Stem cells can bring about regeneration, which would otherwise be impossible, and they can serve a very important purpose.

The process

The process is very simple. The first step is to extract the tooth. This will be done by your dentist using the latest techniques to eliminate pain and ensure that you’re completely comfortable throughout. Once the tooth has been removed, it will be placed in a sealed vial and then into a stem cell collection kit, which is collected by Precious Cells. The tooth is then cryogenically frozen, which enables the stem cells to be stored securely and safely. If the stem cells are required, the vial is transferred to a treatment centre.

If you’d like to find out more about stem cells and how an extracted tooth could potentially save your life in the future, don’t hesitate to get in touch. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and tell you all about the process and the benefits you could enjoy.
