Enlighten is an incredible whitening treatment, which works to lighten the colour of the enamel from within. Enlighten is a different proposition to alternative treatments on the market because it combines aspects of at-home and in-chair whitening. By doing this, Enlighten achieves optimum results, and it is currently the only treatment available in the UK to guarantee shade B1, the lightest tooth shade.

What does treatment involve?

The Enlighten process involves around 15 days of treatment. Before you begin, your dentist will create custom moulds, which are used to make your whitening trays. When your bespoke trays are ready, you can head home and start your treatment. These trays slide into the mouth into a similar way to a mouth guard and they contain whitening agent. When the agent comes into contact with the enamel, it lightens the shade of the tooth, creating a whiter smile. Home treatment should be repeated every day for 14 days, and ideally, you should wear your trays for around 6 hours per day. On the 15^th day, you’ll move on to the next stage of treatment, which involves a 1-hour in-chair session. Your dentist will apply whitening agent to your teeth and then activate it using a light source. You can relax and kick back, and an hour later, your smile will look perfect!
