What causes wear and tear?

Your teeth may also suffer if you have a diet laden with sugary or acidic foods, as acids erode the enamel. Injuries can also impact your teeth and make them vulnerable and weak.

We offer a range of treatments, which is designed to patch up, repair and reshape worn, tired teeth. In some cases, it may not be necessary to administer treatment, and we may be able to prevent further damage by providing you with expert advice and helpful tips. If your teeth are worn or damaged, we can discuss options with you. Treatments we may recommend include:

• Crowns: crowns are a type of restoration, which is used to strengthen decayed or damaged teeth. The crown is placed over the top of the tooth. As well as making the tooth more robust, a new crown can also improve the aesthetic of the smile.
• Veneers: if you dream of a perfect smile, veneers may be the ideal choice for you. Veneers are fine shells, which are usually made from porcelain. They are applied to the tooth surface to transform the look of the smile.
• Cosmetic bonding: cosmetic bonding is a simple, effective, painless treatment, which can be used to address common aesthetic issues, such as chips, worn and uneven edges and even small gaps between the teeth. Bonding takes around an hour, and there’s no pain involved. Your dentist will use a material called dental composite to repair and reshape individual teeth to produce a beautiful new smile.
