What is All-on-4?

All-on-4 uses four dental implants to support an entire arch of new teeth; traditionally, it takes between 6 and 10 for a full arch. This system also allows new teeth to be fitted straight away so that you don’t have to wait for months to show off your new smile; usually, it takes up to 9 months for to heal fully, which means that temporary restorations are needed.

How does it work?

It is understandable to question how this treatment works with just four implants when normally at least 6 are needed. All-on-4 implants are placed at specific angles in order to allow maximum support for the teeth. Two are fitted at the front of the mouth and two are placed at the back of the mouth. The front implants are placed at 90 degree angles and the back ones are positioned at 45 degree angles; this makes the most of the strong, dense bone tissue at the front of the jaw.
