How does home whitening work?

Home whitening is very simple and it’s a really great choice for patients who have very busy work schedules and anti social hours, as treatment takes place at home and there is a great degree of flexibility. Home treatment involves the use of whitening trays, which are similar to gum shields that you wear for sport; you choose when and where to wear your trays and you’ll start to notice a difference after just a couple of days. Most of our patients wear the trays during the night, but the choice is yours. The trays contain whitening agent, which bleaches the teeth, giving your smile a healthy glow.

How long does treatment take?

We usually recommend a treatment period of between 10 and 14 days. After this period of time, your smile will look lovely and bright and if you want to top-up treatment in the future, this is very easy to do. We recommend wearing the trays for around 6 hours per day.
