What is Restylane?

Restylane treatment was developed in Sweden and has quickly become an extremely popular non-surgical facial treatment in the UK. This treatment is versatile, as it can be used to add volume to saggy, dull skin, reduce the visibility of facial lines and enhance the definition of the facial features, including the cheeks and lips.

Restylane does not contain any animal substances and uses hyaluronic acid, which occurs naturally in the human body, to combat the signs of diminishing collagen stores. As we age, collagen supplies decrease and this causes the skin to lose its firmness and elasticity. With Restylane, you can enjoy smoother, softer and plumper skin, while still maintaining a very natural look.

What does treatment involve?

The treatment process for Restylane is refreshingly simple and there’s nothing to worry or be nervous about. Before we start, we will talk you through the process and decide which areas you want to treat. We will then use a very fine needle to gently inject Restylane into specific areas of your skin. Treatment only takes around 15-20 minutes and once you’ve finished, that’s it – you’re free to go home!

How long do the results of treatment last?

Restylane is not a permanent solution and therefore it offers an excellent option for patients who want younger looking skin without the commitment or risk of surgery. The results tend to last between 6 and 9 months and it is possible to continue treatment if you wish to.
