The first stage is to remove decayed tissue and clean the cavity thoroughly. The second stage is to place bonding agent and then the filling material inside the cavity. Your dentist will skilfully shape the composite to fill the cavity perfectly and harden it using a curing light. Filling a tooth usually takes less than an hour and you’ll be free to head home or get back to work immediately afterwards.
